1. Open foaming process

Open foaming, commonly known as open mold foaming. A new generation of refrigerated vehicle production technology developed by European leading refrigerated vehicle enterprises represented by Schmitz. At present, only xinhongchang Yangzhou factory in China uses this process.

Advantages of open foaming process: no top cover, spray foaming, sufficient exhaust, uniform pouring, no dead angle, plate is not easy to appear cavity, uniform density, intelligent control, high degree of automation, environmental protection.

Disadvantages of open foaming process: it belongs to the new generation process in Europe, with high equipment investment and high requirements for workers' operation skills.

2. Closed foaming process

At present, there are not many domestic manufacturers using closed foaming, such as Shandong CIMC, Qingdao CIMC, Henan Hongyu, etc. besides hailimeida and Bayer cold chain.

Advantages of closed foaming process: the process is widely used in containers, refrigerators, etc., with higher process maturity and lower procurement cost compared with open foaming equipment.

Disadvantages of closed foaming process: this process is inefficient, prone to cavity, uneven density, corner is not in place and other phenomena, so it is a great test of enterprise technology and production process.

Compared with the mainstream dry bonding in the market, whether it is open or closed foaming, it is through mold installation and on-site foaming. This kind of board is called sheet injection foaming board in the industry. In theory, it is better than dry bonding refrigerator car thermal insulation performance, and the two processes do not need additional adhesive, so it is more environmentally friendly.

3. Wet bonding process

In 1993, the predecessor of Shandong CIMC, Jinan coger Special Automobile Co., Ltd., a Sino German joint venture, introduced the wet bonding process of coger refrigerated vehicle for the first time in China. Up to now, this process is only produced by Shandong CIMC.

Advantages of wet bonding process: compared with dry bonding, wet bonding has no metal framework and connectors, the plate is easy to form a whole, with high strength, and the weight of the car body is 15 ~ 25% lighter than dry bonding, which can effectively reduce the transportation cost and low heat leakage rate, which is more common in Europe.

Disadvantages of wet bonding process: this process can not use metal materials such as aluminum plate, and the inner skin surface may need to be polished and painted separately.

4. Dry bonding process

Up to now, 90% of the refrigerated vehicle manufacturers in the industry adopt this technology. The process is mainly made of FRP, and polyurethane foam or XPS resin is used as an adhesive to connect polyurethane foam (or XPS) with inner and outer skin.

Advantages of dry bonding process: FRP can be prefabricated or purchased in advance. If XPS thermal insulation material is used, the smell of production site is small, no dust, and relatively environmental protection.

Disadvantages of dry bonding process: because it is an open plate, it needs to strengthen the frame to ensure the strength of the plate. Now there are many kinds of products on the market, and users need to know more about the differences of its thermal insulation and sealing performance.
